Conference Venues in Edinburgh

If you're on the hunt for a conference centre, make sure you put these Edinburgh business hotels at the top of your list. This historic city is host to an excellent selection of venues with facilities ranging from single meeting rooms to purpose-built conference suites. Some of our favourites are The Roxburghe Hotel, The George and Channings.

The George Hotel

Of these, our first choice for luxury and convenience is The George, a centrally-located landmark hotel operated by conference venue specialists Principal Hayley. Providing easy access to the city's business district and main attractions, this elegant Edinburgh conference hotel combines old-world Georgian glamour with modern-day comfort and efficiency. Recently refurbished to the tune of 20 million pounds, this magnificent venu has a total of seven conference suites, which can be booked individually or together for events ranging from board meetings to international business summits. The largest of these Edinburgh conference rooms is the King's Hall, which boasts a capacity of 300 and a unique chandelier known as the Flight Light. The King's Hall is flanked by a range of luxury meeting rooms, providing plenty of options for seminars, private dining and breakout sessions. Small groups who want to make their Edinburgh conference one to remember may prefer The Library, one of the most exclusive and grand meeting rooms in the Scottish capital. As you would expect from a leading business hotel such as The George, full support is available for all events, including equipment and a dedicated in-house conference team.

The Roxburghe

The Roxburghe Hotel is a friendly country house nestled privately amongst woodlands on the banks of the River Teviot. Many of the 22 bedrooms have been individually designed by the Duchess of Roxburghe, some of which have four poster beds and log fires. In and amongst the grounds, the hotel offers a range of activities such as golf, salmon fishing and shooting, as well as having its own Health and Beauty suite. This hotel is geared towards small intimate meetings for up to 40 guests in one of 4 meeting rooms with choice and flexibility to ensure that your visit is relaxed yet professional.

Channings

Channings in Edinburgh is an informal, relaxed hotel with a very friendly approach. It occupies five Edwardian townhouses in Stockbridge, one of Edinburgh's most popular 'urban villages'. Despite being slightly away from the city centre, Channings is wonderfully quarky and charming, full of Victorian paintings, books and furntiture. The hotel has 41 unique rooms and is ideal for intimate events for up to 50 delegates. Arrangements can be made for the supply of flipcharts, audio visual equipment and other necessitites.
